Jessie's 17 days to make a difference

Today was the last day I did 17 days to make a difference and today I helped my mum to fold the clothes up. During those 17 days, I helped her a lot .It made me felt great!!^0^=)!

This evening, the baby (my mum's friend's) came with his mum. He was wearing a lot of clothes and he was lying in his mum's arms. I was trying to play with him. He was only 7-months old. He just looked like a big toy and he always felt happy. But sometimes he felt uncomfortable (so he kicked) and I didn't know what to do. I read a short story to him (of course he would not understand) and then he stopped kicking and he started listening! Yes!

(It was a good help, I think!)^0^=)!

This afternoon, when I got home from school my mum was lying in the bed. She was sick but I got class at 4:30! She would not able to drop me there (we usually go to my teacher's house by car) and my mum's English was not too good so I helped her to call Miss. Anne (my teacher). This help made me felt happy!^0^=)

Today I helped my mum to make her lunch 'cos she had a headache and she felt tired. She always makes lunch for me. And this time I did the same thing for her so I felt really good. Hope she will getting much better soon!^0^=)!!

This afternoon, as we came back from the shopping centre, my mum was checking the car because something was wrong. The things we had bought were still in the car so I decided to help her to bring them into the house. There were too many and they were really heavy as well. It took me a lot of time but I still felt very happy because I helped people!^0^=)!!

This morning, my mum and I decided to go to the library. Before that, she wanted me to help her take the books that were going to be returned to the car because she felt weak. I helped her and it made me feel happy!^0^=)!

This evening, when my mum was cooking I helped her by cleaning the windows. They were so dirty and it was very hard to clean them!! But it felt really good to help my mum. It was a suprise and she said "thank you" to me.^0^=)!

This afternoon, I saw my mum was too busy to do her housework so I helped her get the clothes (there's so many!!) off the coat-hander where the clothes were drying. I felt good because I gave her a hand when she needed my help!^0^=)

Today, I helped my mum to set the table before we had dinner. My mum said "Thank you" and I felt good. It was a little help and I think next time I will make a big difference!^0^!=)!

This evening, my mum looked busy because she had a lot of house work to do. So I helped her to clean the floor. It made me felt tired. I was very happy because she said thanks and I think it was a good help!^0^=)!!

Sunday (Actually is Monday morning^0^!)
This morning I made the breakfast (there were just some toast with blueberry jam on it and a cup of hot milk) for my mum 'because she was too tired to get up early. She said "Good work" to me and it made me felt good.=)

This afternoon, my mum and I went shopping. We bought many things and I carried them for my mum (they were so heavy!) until we arrived at the "Fish & Chips" store. ^0^!
oh! I'm so TIRED!!!=)

Today, I helped my mum dry the floor of the bath room - too much water, hehe^0^.

It was a little help but I still felt good!=)

It was hard to imagine how messy my house was! Tonight, I helped my mum to tidy up the room. As I finished my work my mum said "good work" to me and it made me felt good. Much better than before! Eh? ^o^!!=）

Today I did all the washing up for my mum after we had dinner. It was a really easy thing to do and I felt very good. My mum always feel tired 'cos she is very busy all day. It was a little help but it was a big change! ^o^!

Day2 [Baby sitting was hard!!]

"Baby sitting was hard!" that was what I thought after I did the baby sitting for my mum's friend. The baby is really cute and he's really naughty as well. As I was looking after him he was pulling my hair and it was about three times. He cried a lot so I had to talk to him and to smile at him very often. But I still think it was fun! And I felt so happy when he smiled at me with that really cute angel smile and when his mother said "thank you". I'm sure I can be a good mother when I grow up!! ^o^=)

Today is the day I started to do the 17 days makes a difference and tonight I helped my mum to cook the dinner 'cos she felt too tired. It wasn't my first time so I think I did not bad. The noodle tasted good but the only thing was not good enough was the noodle was a bit too salty. Anyway, it was a good start 'cos my mum said it is good!! ^0^=)

Room 10 are trying to make a difference in the community we live in. For 17 days we are going to do something helpful for other people. Each day we will record down what we have done and how that person has felt when we did something for them. We are doing this because we believe you should help others out without expecting anything in return.
